Meet Steve in Rock Hill, New York

Hi, my name is Steve Schwartz, and thanks for visiting my store on the web! I first opened Steve's Music Center in Monticello, NY in 1996, mainly for one reason-- because I'm a musician myself, and I had no idea what else to do with my life! In addition, I already had seven years of experience working for the late Murray Snyder, who owned a music store in Monticello and a clarinet repair shop in New York City.

When my five-year lease on the Monticello store was up, I decided it was time to stop renting. In October 2001, my brother Cliff and I bought a building in Rock Hill, NY, (just a few miles east of Monticello) to serve as the new home of Steve's Music Center.

Steve's isn't one of those huge, faceless corporate music stores... this is my store, where I pick the inventory, I greet you when you walk through the door, and I polish all the guitars each and every week (OK, so my brother does that).

My website will give you an idea of my stock, what I regularly carry as well as some of the unique vintage items I have on hand. I will gladly do mail order for those of you outside my area. Steve's Music Center, 248 Rock Hill Drive, Rock Hill, NY. An easy drive from Bethel, Callicoon, Fallsburg, Forestburg, Honesdale, Kiamesha, Kutsher's Country Club, Liberty, Loch Sheldrake, Middletown, Monticello, Port Jervis, South Fallsburg, Sullivan County Community College, White Lake, Woodbourne, Woodridge, and Wurtsboro.

Coming from New York City:

From the New York State Thruway, take Exit 16 to Route 17 West.
Follow Route 17 West approximately 50 miles to Exit 109
At the end of the ramp, turn right and go past the Trading Post and up the hill for about 1/2 mile.
Steve's is located on the right side of the street at 248 Rock Hill Drive.

Coming from Binghamton:

Follow Route 17 East to Exit 109
At the end of the ramp, turn left.
Turn right at the Trading Post and go up the hill for less than 1/2 mile.
Steve's is located on the right side of the street at 248 Rock Hill Drive.
