It's a little large for a boost, but it has to be! Chock full of big ol' mylar caps, switched pots and op-amps, MEAT is everywhere you want to be. This is no ordinary boost pedal. MEAT delivers a big, fat boost with dipped highs - OR it can be used as crisp, clean boost - OR it can be used as a combination of the two! That's right - you get to mix and match the amount of Fat versus Clean signal. And if you find the perfect mix, but it's not loud enough? Never fear, MEAT is here! Simply use the Level control to increase the overall boost level without disrupting your perfect Fat/Clean mix. MEAT doesn't just boost - it makes your guitar sound BETTER.

To paraphrase Rudy Ray Moore, this pedal is out of sight. Got a weak signal? Need to increase the output of that Vintage Strat without destroying it's unique character? Meet MEAT. Both the Fat and Clean controls click on and off, allowing you to completely remove either channel from the circuit. Want a pure clean boost, with no increased low end? Simply click the Fat control off. Want that thickness without increasing the high end? Click the Clean control off. It's just that easy.

Design

ToadWorks MEAT is a Dual Boost effect designed to provide a fat, warm boost, or a crisp, clear boost, or any combination of the two. MEAT is perfect for simple solo boost, fattening up your tone while maintaining unity gain, or overdriving your amp input so hard it bleeds. MEAT is a true hybrid, utilizing both transistors and Op-Amps for different types of boost.

Operation

The switch turns the effect on and off, the left most knob ("Fat") controls the amount of Fat boost present in the effect, the middle knob ("Clean") controls the amount of Clean boost present in the effect, and the far-right knob controls the overall Boost level. Click here for the product manual.

Manufacturing

MEAT features a true-bypass circuit, so you can cut out the fat without sacrificing tone. Each pedal is carefully manufactured by hand, using only the finest components.
