This booster is a clean volume boost NOT A DISTORTION unit. This pedal will fatten your tone, boost your signal, or overdrive your amp. The way I personally use it is to set my amplifier somewhat loud and clean and use the Sonic Boom to boost the signal and overdrive the amplifier with natural amp distortion. This pedal is loud and features a single volume control. This pedal will make you take a second glance at your clean amp. Nick Greer strongly recommends this pedal for those of us who play tube amplifiers. Features True Bypass.
