Marshall JTM30

This 30-watt all tube Marshall JTM30 combo amp plays beautifully and would make an excellent studio amplifier. It is in very good cosmetic condition. Serial number 950775247. The speaker is a 12” Celestion Heritage G12, rated 16 ohm.

The JTM30 as built tended to overheat. This unit has been retrofitted with additional internal vents and a brushless DC cooling fan with a thermal control circuit that adjusts the speed of the fan based on the heat of the tubes. The changes are not visible from the outside of the amplifier.

This amp was a great recording amp in concept. However, the fact that it overheated in 20 minutes made it unusable. The fan has a mild hum, which does not come through while gigging. However, the noise may come through when recording in a quiet studio setting.
