The FAT BURNER is a combination compressor sustainer headphone amp pedal. You can use it:

1-THE NO-COMPRESSOR-MAN 'S COMPRESSOR

Should I use a compressor ? For those afraid of  "pumping" drawbacks, the FAT BURNER offers the most natural feeling ever with this kind effect. But natural does not mean wimpy: the FAT BURNER is capable of a very high compression ratio to obtain heavenly sustained tones.

Basically you've got the same power amp section --if you igrnore the negative feedback loop--. All the rest is preamp differences. The '65 has TONS more of headroom --clean volume before entering overdrive.
