| You get 240 Watts (150W) and
all the great features offered on the head. It all begins with the transformer. GK uses
toroids. They cost more, but are light weight, do not induce hum into pickups, and really
pack punch! GK generates the tremendous currents required to maintain cone control at high
power levels (reduced farting), by using extra output devices, and sophisticated SOA
protection circuits. This also costs more, but will deliver up to ten times the current of
other comparable amplifiers. Finally, a temperature controlled, variable speed fan, keeps
everything cool, so when push comes to shove, and you really need to lean on your amp,
you've got….. Extreme Sound!
The cabinets are carpet covered, and rock back for tight playing
situations. They feature RBH hardware like massive custom tooled corners, 16 gauge steel
grills, and speakers from the RBS series cabinets.
