The concept for the DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Ž Solo Pro is a Strat Ž replacement that cancels hum and performs like a P90. DiMarzio turned it up a notch with Alnico 2 magnets for more sustain and a warm, woody tone that's a cross between a violin and a human voice. Big and round-toned with a clean setting, the DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Ž Solo Pro stays warm with overdrive, and produces great harmonics with high gain amps.

DiMarzio Pickups

F-spacing refers to a wider spacing between pole pieces. For proper string alignment and balanced output, F-spaced humbuckers should be used in the bridge position on all guitars with string spacing of 2.1" (53 mm) or greater at the bridge. This applies to most guitars with tremolos, as well as most newer fixed-bridge instruments. On guitars with a nut width of 1 11/16" (43 mm) or greater, F-spaced pickups can be used in the neck position as well.
