Dean starts with a body styled and contoured for comfort and then uses basswood to make them lighter. The maple necks are profiled to be fast and sleek. A "uniquely Dean" custom neck joint and heel along with an asymmetrical 5 bolt pattern create uninterrupted access all the way up the two octave neck.
