The Avalanche J, based on Dean's Avalanche line of guitars, is a 22.7" scale instrument with a 1 5/8" nut. The slightly longer scale and wider nut make this guitar much more playable than most of the mini guitars currently on the market. Like its big brother, the Avalanche Zone S, The Avalanche J has 3 single coil pickups, 1 volume, 1 tone control, and a 5 way switch. The center pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity to eliminate hum in the 2nd and 4th positions. The Avalanche J uses the same bridge as the Dean Evo J.
